About Big Sofa

Big Sofa captures brilliant conversational and behavioural film. It then helps you mine the content to create high impact narratives that bring people and experiences to life, build Social Capital in the organisation, and create a more collaborative culture.

We create, produce and manage conversational film that gets to the heart of how real people feel about their lives and experiences.  We also capture behavioural film – filming people’s behaviours as they go about their personal or professional lives.

We developed the Big Sofa digital platform to enable clients to store, access, search, self-edit and share their film content – or access the Big Sofa channel.  Its powerful software allows clients to search for topics of their choice, to select clips, create playlists and digests online, and share, download and comment on them online.

We have our own Big Sofa channel with over 2500 people, 1,700 conversations, 360 hours of film talking to people throughout the UK. We continually supplement our content in different UK locations. More and more clients also use Big Sofa for bespoke projects.  We create conversational film, video blogs and/or behavioural film to gain insight from consumers, customers, citizens, employees, distributors, partners and leaders.  We can also process insight or research film from clients' other projects to make it just as accessible, searchable and usable as content commissioned through us.
